Sri Lanka Rally 2020 | Day 1 – Colombo | Bespoke Rallies

All the participants arrived in Sri Lanka  a couple of days ahead of the rally for final preparations before the start of the adventure. We stayed at the The Galle Face Hotel in Colombo a beautiful colonial style hotel on the waters edge close to the Dutch Hospital and fort area of Colombo. We took in the highlights of the city on a Tuk Tuk tour which included the Red and white mosque, Jami-Ul-Alfar, Patteh market, a sacred Hindu Temple, the Colombo lighthouse overlooking the harbour development and the Gangaramaya Temple.

Temporary Sri Lanka driving licences were all obtained in advance and the cars were delivered, inspected and all the rally stickers applied. A Rally briefing was held the morning before the start of the rally to go through the newly developed Bespoke Rallies tracking app. Everyone was ready to go!
